I'm leaking everything I know about Grand Theft Auto VI.
After seeing what Schreier said about the next Grand Theft Auto being early in development and all the garbage MrBossFTW videos, I decided to ask my friend who started to work at Rockstar in San Diego 4 years ago and has been involved in the development of the game since late 2017 to give me some details about it. Everything he said to me about the game just seemed completely unreal, and after being quiet with this info for more than 3 days now, I can't stop myself from just telling this to the rest of the world. If what he told me is true, then this post might get deleted very quick, so try to copy & paste it somewhere or just screenshot it, also there might be a chance that Rockstar will change some things in the game because of it, and that my friend will be very angry at me and will maybe get suspended from work or he's trolling me and this is just another day of fake GTA VI news, but to me it's just too detailed to be fake. I'm also using a throwaway account. So with this out of the way let's start. The game is 70% finished. The first mentions of the game started way back in late 2011, when the Grand Theft Auto V trailer was launched worldwide. The plan was to make it the biggest game ever, something that nobody has ever seen before, with multiple cities, multiple protagonists, open interiors, realistic mechanics you get the point. Basically the ultimate game and they set it for late 2018, however the game was too heavy for the PS4/XONE hardware, and they also realized they wouldn't finish it in time with Red Dead Redemption 2 being developed around the corner. So they decided to split teams (I don't know the studio names so i will be just saying Team A, B etc) - Team A will be developing RDR2, Team B will be finishing GTA V, Team C starting the development on GTA VI and Team D was operating the next Grand Theft Auto game, which was supposed to be not a full blown sequel, but more like a spin-off (Vice City style - with around 50 missions and one protagonist on the V engine) and release it in 2016, set in areas different from what we saw before (very possibly London, they even left a hint of it in GTA V in that skate park graffiti or whatever it was), however this was scrapped in 2014 and replaced with a TBoGT/TLaD style DLC for GTA V, however this was again scrapped in 2015/16 when they realized how much money they make and can make with Online, so they decided to release bigger DLC's with something that has never been really experienced in GTA (here's the whole thing with MK2 Oppressors etc) and all the money that GTA Online made then was used for GTA VI. So when Red Dead Redemption 2 was finished in 2017, they started to fully focus on Grand Theft Auto VI. They even tested the features that they wanted in the next GTA by placing them in GTA V and RDR2 (I'll say them later). Now I will jump into everything that has currently been developed. The game is set in three different decades in three major cities surrounded by minor ones, with one protagonist for each decade. 1980s (I don't know the exact years but I think it will be something around 1983-1985 because of Rockstar's love for De Palma's Scarface) Vice City fully based on Miami, Medellin (wasn't told of R's version) and some areas in Bolivia and Cuba. Then 1990s (1996 exactly) Liberty City fully based on New York City (this time it will be missing that Soviet-era vibe that was present in GTA IV) and Carcer City based on Chicago with Detroit elements, and finally modern day San Andreas (Los Santos, Blaine County, San Fierro, a big desert town that I don't know the name of, and Las Venturas with missions in modern day Liberty City and modern day Vice City). Now, you won't be able to switch between protagonists like in V. The game will feature time jumps like in Red Dead Redemption 2 (this was actually tested there with the switch from 1899 to 1907), when you finish the 1980's campaign you will jump into the 1990's campaign and then when you finish that you will jump in the modern day campaign. Also, the area unlock system will return, the one that has been present in III, IV, SA, you know, the one with areas blocked until you complete a part of the story. You won't be able to access LC and Carcer before you started the 90's campaign and you won't be able to access the San Andreas before you started the modern day campaign. Now to the caflight mechanics and weapons. I presume some of you may know the mechanics and weapons if you read a leak posted by one of the game testers (he tested just two areas - VC and Carcer). The weapons will change their design during the space between the three campaigns, and there will be many, MANY weapons. Three times the size of V. I wasn't told every single one, but weapons like the Glock, a chainsaw and flamethrower will be returning and some new weapons will be added, the only one I know is the MP5. The car mechanics will be very advanced. For example, a fuel system in a car will be present (similiar to the one used in Mafia II Definitive Edition) and every single vehicle will have more or less fuel, if you steal a car from a pedestrian it will have a random amount of fuel, and if you break into one it might not even have any. The handling is completely reworked and was done with Hangar 13 who have done Mafia III's handling which is in my opinion the best vehicle handling in a game currently. That's all I know to this. And to the flight mechanics will feature a simulation mode and a regular mode. Didn't ask for details on this, but probably a FS2020 style flying and the GTA V style flying. Entering the physics and features. The same ragdoll system used in RDR2 optimized to fit the modern world, object destruction is going to be introduced (yes, you will be able to destroy buildings and this will have major consequences in the game's world, some of them will be very hard to destroy, some of them very easy and some of them won't be destructable at all, I'll tell later but you probably know by now) which will be very present in the ghettos of Carcer City. You will be able to put corpses and alive pedestrians in your trunk, and now murders will have effects. Remember the feature used in Online, that when you steal a car a guy messages you "You stole my fucking car, now you will pay!" type of message? Yeah, this was a test for GTA VI feature. When you murder someone, there is a possibility that some pedestrian will try to kill you for retaliation, or do some harm to your operation. Depends on the importance of the person you will kill (don't know how this system works, but possibly if you kill a gang member you will get drive-by'd or if you kill some random guy a friend of his will try to murder you) and the location and time. The wanted system is reworked, with six stars returning and the six star response is the military. Also, the police's reaction will depend on the city you will be in and the crime you will commit. And the same system that was featured in Mafia III or Watch Dogs that the you have to be snitched on for the cops to appear will be introduced. Interactions will return from RDR2 but more advanced, and for the first time ever a reputation system. I don't know about it that much, nor my friend does, but basically something like this - if you will make a name for yourself in the city the cops will recognize you and peds will fear you. Gunshot wounds and stab wounds will have effect on the player's movement and other, like if you get shot multiple times you won't be able to hold a heavy gun due to your injuries, and a bleeding system is present. And the same thing that was in GTA V with bruises being left after you die will be again present, but this time scars will be introduced. You can literally get a Tony Montana style scar on your face if you get slashed across it very heavily. Business missions will be present, for example, you will have to deliver cocaine from Vice to Bolivia by airplane, something that was tested in the second Trevor mission in V, or you have to reclaim a hood from the rival gang like in SA, but more advanced (I'm getting too ahead of myself). That's all I can recall on this topic. Oh, and the casino system in LV will be heavily present, it was tested in the GTA Online update, almost forgot about it. The soundtrack will be the best in the history of gaming, and I'm serious about it. One of the points behind having two decades is the soundtrack. I don't know about all songs that are in the game, but I know that artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, Michael Jackson, 2Pac, Hall & Oates, Nas, Nirvana, Metallica, XXXTentacion and Bob Marley are featured. They spent a lot of money to get them in the game. Now, to the cities look and feel. I will keep it short and simple. Everything from 80's Miami will be present in Vice City, if you watched Miami Vice and Scarface you know, modern day VC will look basically the same way modern day Miami does. 90's Liberty will look like 90's New York present in Above the Rim and Juice however with some new features, and the East-West rap beef will be taking place during this time so expect a lot of references to that. The World Trade Center will be featured, however this was a very, very difficult task and R had to pay major bucks to get it. And finally, modern day San Andreas won't also really differ from the real life counterpart, and some new buildings and areas will be added to Los Santos. Online was basically the thing that Schreier leaked. It will be first set in Los Santos and will eventually feature every city. It has been almost made into a full-blown MMO, DLC ideas already there. There will be an option of getting your V Online protagonist to VI, just like when V for next-gens was released. That is all I know on that, because I really don't care about the Online mode and I didn't ask that much. And the final part, the characters and campaign. I'll start with saying who is Jorge Consejo playing, since he already revealed in his CV that he is featured. The answer is a young Martin Madrazo, who will be one of the protagonist's allies. We will also see a young Roman Bellic moving into LC and a young Dwayne Forge before he got locked up who will be one of the protagonist's allies and a very young Playboy X. We will have references to Niko Bellic (he would appear, but Michael Hollick and Rockstar don't really like eachother now), and Michael, Franklin, Trevor and Lamar will make appearances. That's everyone I know that is returning. As for the new characters, there is a lot of them inspired by Scarface and Narcos for the 1980's campaign, Juice and Above the Rim provided a lot of inspiration for the 1996 campaign and I'm pretty sure there will be a character inspired by 2Pac's Bishop. The campaign is like the three eras of GTA. The 80's campaign will be basically about destruction, mayhem, making money and a name for yourself just like in the 2D era games. The 1996 campaign will be like the 3D era one, going from a nobody to one of the biggest criminals in the country and the modern day campaign will be a mix of both, just like the GTA V one. The missions will be 60 each for one campaign, so all added up the game will feature around 180 missions, which is beating GTA: SA's longest campaign in GTA by over 80 missions. I can't even imagine how long the game will take, including random events and the upgraded Strangers & Freaks missions. The protagonists will be heavily inspired by their time periods cultures. We will have a colombian immigrant moving into Vice City with his friend to escape jail in Colombia, a North Holland gangbanger who wants to do something more then living the gang life, but at the same time wants to dominate the city (a mix of both CJ and Franklin) and a man in his late teenage years who wants to get into the criminal life with his friend, after hearing stories and watching movies, you know the type. Also, the protagonists from the two previous campaigns will return in the modern day one, but as older versions of themselves, however there won't be a switch option between them. Oh, and the release date. Currently, the release date is Spring 2021 with a possible delay to Autumn 2021. Sony is currently battling for the game to be a PS5 exclusive for one month and the PC port is set towards Spring/Summer 2022. They want to release the trailer in October 2020, and a week before that they will show the logo which is done for about two years. That's all I know. Now like I said, there is a chance my friend was lying, and all I told you is fake, so take it with a huge grain of salt. However, if it is really true, then just in case I will delete this post in two days, because of legal action. And if I won't do it, then probably someone from Rockstar will take it down.

How does one describe Brian De Palma?

How does one describe Brian De Palma?

De Palma
How does one describe Brian De Palma? Many have accused him of being a misogynist for his films’ violent behavior towards women in thrillers such as Blow Out or Dressed to Kill. Others have commented that De Palma is just a knock-off of Hollywood legend Alfred Hitchcock, as De Palma uses similar formal techniques and even story ideas from classics like Rear Window or Psycho. Though many of De Palma’s movies have become significant within pop culture, most have nevertheless generated controversy for their recurrent use of graphic violence, themes of obsession, and voyeurism. Even if these criticisms of De Palma were entirely true, there’s no denying that his talent as a director or his widespread influence on other filmmakers. Indeed, Brian De Palma has proven again and again over his decades-long career to be one of cinema’s finest provocateurs, fascinated with how people can manipulate images and how those images can, in turn, affect others.
From the beginning of his filmography, De Palma has shown a fierce fascination with cinema and the art of creating images. His first feature in 1968, Murder a la Mod, features a young amateur filmmaker who shoots a cheap pornographic movie to make quick money. De Palma’s formal style itself shows the director’s love for the image; most of his films feature carefully choreographed long shots, split-screens of two separate places, and split-diopter shots that close in on an object or person in the foreground while also maintaining focus on something else in the background. Even De Palma’s recently released thriller Domino, despite a severely cut-down narrative, contains a shocking split-screen sequence that examines how recorded images of violence can easily spread online and thus turn into propaganda
De Palma’s earliest films were low-budget features shot in or around New York City. Three of these starred a young Robert De Niro, who was also beginning to make a name for himself in the film industry. The last and most famous of these early collaborations, Hi, Mom! (1970), was a dark comedy that introduced the themes of voyeurism and images that would become staples of De Palma’s later filmography. De Niro stars as Jon Rubin, a young man returning from Vietnam who has an idea to put a camera outside his window and film people in apartments across the street. Rubin at first gets financial help from an adult film producer and shoots footage of a middle-class family, a rich young playboy, and a college student involved with a black radical group. Rubin even decides to “create” films himself; he seduces a young woman in one of the apartments he spies on and has sex with her in her apartment after setting his camera to start recording after a certain time. Through Rubin, we see not only De Palma’s fascination with vouyerism (there are long sequences of each apartment and its inhabitants, some shots sped up for humor) but also with cinema itself. The girl Rubin dates and seduces on-camera is unaware she’s an actress in a film, showing how much deception inherently goes into making cinema.
The most famous scene of Hi, Mom! occurs after Rubin is fired. Desperately looking for easy money, he gets hired by the black radical group to play a part in a experimental theatrical performance, Be Black, Baby. Shot entirely on 16mm film, the sequence involves several wealthy white audience members going to the production set in an empty apartment building. The black actors running the show make the white people eat soul food and paint their faces black while they don whiteface. From there, the white audience members are terrorized and chased from room to room by the actors as an attempt for the white patrons to understand the “black experience.” Rubin plays a policeman who comes in at the end of the performance to further scare the audience before chasing them out of the building. At the end, the stunned white audience praises the show; the black actors are disappointed and one sourly remarks, “I don’t think they learned a thing.” Though the extended scene is also a hilarious satire of the New York underground theater movement, it also serves as another example of cinema as manipulation. Because of the intense performances by the black actors and Rubin, the white patrons are deceived into thinking they are in serious danger and forget that they are part of a performance until they are let free and given time to calm down.
After a string of successes in the 1970s including Phantom of the Paradise and Carrie, De Palma made several studio films in the 1980s, some highly commercial (Scarface, The Untouchables) and some were more personal psychological thrillers. Body Double, made immediately after Scarface was negatively received by critics and gained controversy for its graphic violence, was released as a bitter response to Hollywood animosity and was a twisted homage to Hitchcock’s Rear Window and Vertigo. After he catches his girlfriend cheating on him, unemployed actor Jake Scully (Craig Wasson) decides to house-sit for Sam (Gregg Henry) for several days. At the house before leaving, Sam shows Scully a telescope where he watches a neighbor (Deborah Shelton) do a seductive dance alone every night. Scully quickly becomes fascinated with the neighbor and begins stalking her around Los Angeles during the day. One night, Scully watches the neighbor become brutally murdered by a mysterious, disfigured man; he later discovers that the woman he saw each night dancing was a porn actress, Holly Body (Melanie Griffith), hired by Sam to make sure Scully would watch every night. Sam — wearing a mask to look like the disfigured man — killed the real neighbor, his wife Gloria, and used Scully as the perfect alibi.
Body Double is one of De Palma’s most unnerving works, examining our relationship to cinema and how audiences expectations can subjectively affect the images they see. Sam chooses Scully to become an unknowing witness because he knows Scully has recently lost his girlfriend and is lonely. Indeed, Scully projects his sexual desires on to the dancing woman, even following Gloria around as she shops in a mall or walks to the beach. Scully’s voyeuristic act of watching through a telescope implicates us the viewers as well, as we too become an audience to Holly’s erotic dance. After Gloria’s murder, a distraught Scully watches a porn channel and sees Holly doing the same dance she did for him in the window. From here on, Scully transforms from a passive audience member into an active participant; he auditions for a music video with Holly and introduces himself to her as a porn producer as a way to get the truth out of her. The music video itself — set to Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s single “Relax” — is a film within a film — as Scully plays a man wandering through a strip club and eventually seduced by Holly. Both within and without Body Double, we clearly see how cinema and its imagery can manipulate us, yet there is still a part of us that allows us to get tricked and deceived every time.
One of De Palma’s last Hollywood-funded movies, Snake Eyes was given negative reviews from critics and audiences alike, but it remains an essential De Palma film. Detective Rick Santoro (Nicolas Cage) goes to an Atlantic City boxing match to help guard the Secretary of Defense alongside an old friend Kevin Dunne (Gary Sinise), now a U.S. Navy Commander. When the Secretary gets fatally shot, the arena closes down and Santoro searches for suspects who might have been involved in a larger conspiracy. Most of the film is shown through Rashomon-style flashbacks; Santoro hears stories from different people about where they were and what they were doing when the shooting took place. Yet, Santoro soon realizes some of the statements he’s been given contradicts others — the recollections of witness Julia (Carla Gugino) reveal that Dunne’s story was fabricated and that he was part of the plan to kill the Secretary.
Much of Snake Eyes revolves around the objectivity of the surveillance camera as opposed to the memories of individuals. The film opens on newsreel footage of a storm outside the match and moves from one television to another. Santoro is first seen standing next to a pay-per-view reporter shown on a television and then moves off of the television screen and on to our own. Santoro only believes Julia’s story when he sees footage of Dunne meeting with the shooter minutes before the Secretary’s death. De Palma seems to recognize that a camera recording by itself is unbiased, but those images can easily be changed or constructed to show or hide the truth. When Dunne erases the surveillance video, the camera moves to a different news screen where corrupt casino owner Gilbert Powell (John Heard) lies to reporters about how the Secretary of Defense was killed. The Secretary of Defense was killed because Julia, a military manufacturer analyst, told him that the results of a new missile guard system supported by Dunne and Powell were faked so he would approve its use. Here, one can see a significant change in De Palma’s examination of imagery. In Hi, Mom!, Rubin comically seduces a woman to create an adult film; Sam creates the image of Holly’s dance to get away with murder in Body Double. On the other hand, images are erased or manipulated by military officials and corporation executives for large profits in Snake Eyes. The institutional corruption discovered by Santoro is so vast and widespread that De Palma’s original ending to the film (the casino washing away entirely in the midst of the hurricane) makes much more sense.
De Palma’s filmography of the last 20 years has been mostly independently financed and hasn’t received the same distribution or success as his previous work. Domino is the best example; De Palma had trouble with producers during filming, and a 140-minute rough cut of the film got shortened to the 89-minute version being released this week. Yet, despite all these troubles, there are still sequences within Domino that demonstrate De Palma’s artistry just as much in Body Double or Snake Eyes. No other filmmaker has so thoroughly examined our relationship with cinema and how its artificiality can deceive us. Even in his late 70s, De Palma is still thinking about how images can be manipulated, and in turn, manipulate an idea more relevant than ever in a world filled with billions of cellphones and a limitless global network.

De Palma's Snake Eyes and the meaning of life

Is there any greater liberation than having one’s all-consuming paranoia verified, to, finally, be vindicated in the center ring of conspiracy? And what is a life if not a series of phantom punches until landing a real punch, we knock and are knocked into the hard determination of an unfolding plot? Who is that in our ear calling for a falling if not ourselves? We are all actors in this conspiracy called life.
What are snake eyes? A demonic force, fortuitous providence, ecstatic coincidence, strange chance, sinister subtext, an omniscient being controlling things from the all seeing eye-in-the sky: Rear Window to ceiling vertigo? You can close your curtains, but you can't put a roof on Heaven.
Snake Eyes takes place in a casino, epicenter of totalitarian fortune-making where luck, like conspiracy, is manufactured not born. We, however, are born, born into the house’s advantage, the defining framework of childhood, labor, government, biological life itself. The underlying structure in the fracture of existence; What we see is not the same thing as what we perceive. De Palma's epitaph, maybe the director's essence in general: The point and the view are fixed.
The storm outside the casino can't be called a hurricane, but a "tropical storm," as if the semiotics of weather terminology will save us from the world crashing through our windshield, a semantic suppression to maintain the capitalist order. What we are talking about with capitalist conspiracy is not pissing on your face and calling it rain but pissing on your face and calling it a spa treatment. This is the 20th century skeptical spectacle: Media censorship, doctored photographs, adulterated film footage, spliced audio, top secret sign-processes of the hyper-corporate surveillance state. The truth exists outside of the documented record. The tools of communication, bookkeeping, trust-building are untrustworthy themselves, inherently compromised by their placement within the ruling order.
Like Nic Cage's Santoro character, our only claim to free will is the "I never killed nobody" chicken-soup-for-the-soul reassurances. The conspirator on the other hand is always prepared to kill and die for the cause. In fact, his role in history is already predetermined, like playing back a roll of security footage then recording over that footage with the exact same events and circumstances in a new reference frame. The conspirator is merely a cog in the grand narrative that composes and commands from its all-perceiving zeppelin above. A narrative that will, somehow, eventually end in mankind's best interest.
What are the origins of conspiracy? A ruse, a state of play. The plot here is corrupt military contractors and their faulty technology and the cover-up assassination that takes place within the ultimate conspiracy framework of a fixed boxing match. The film drips with liberal paranoia projected onto security theater paranoia infused with the corruption/redemption dichotomy of the human law enforcer with an added dash of media scrutiny. But what is the real conspiracy here? That the surface is not what it seems, the eyes deceive themselves, that film is flam, but also that within the foundation of every new truth is a dead body waiting to be laid bare.
Both the threat and seduction of conspiracy is that if we are to partake in its luxury of suspicions, we are then compelled, if not forced, to pursue these doubts to oblivion, until, like Santoro, we end up chasing cocaine and fast cars over the edge of truth’s fraudulent cliff. There we must reorient ourselves within the mechanisms, the rule set of the conspiracy: insider or outsider, participant or observer, filmmaker or audience.
True power emerges in the gaps of human perception. What is the actor, the politician, the lawman, the sports hero, but another pirate lighthouse on a false harbor? What are these skyscrapers, these legislative houses, these movie theaters but giant slot machines where fates are rolled? The actor is the patsy in this conspiracy, a public, empathetic front of the unseen, unthinking machine; a roulette wheel with a human face.
Technology doesn’t replace God. Technology is man's imitation of God's politics; it is optics, image, pomp, emperor's new missile defense system, all the trim and trappings of a conspiracy’s stuffed turkey, live on pay-per-view. Cinema isn't a dream state, but a conspiracy state, the public relations offshoot of the military-industrial complex since the beginning of the 20th century, both the pay-in and payout of civilization, its warfare and aesthetics, a game played with loaded dice.

Semifinalists decided in Domestic European Cups

Some of the best European championships are still in recess, due to cold weather and they will resume at the end of January and the first weeks of February. Punters can still bet with Betclic on the Spanish first flight and its English counterpart, but also on some of the top domestic European cups. Action was pretty intense this week and some of the favorites advance to the final stages, while some were stopped in their tracks and will need to focus on other trophies. Coppa Italia is the most advanced competition, with the names of the teams that made the semifinals being already available on Thursday. Juventus is making a resurgence in Serie A, is still alive and kicking in the Champions League and hopes to win the cup as well. It is an ambitious bid but so far they are on the right track on all fronts, despite the weak season start. The Italians have advanced to the semifinals after defeating Lazio on the road and they will be meeting Inter Milan. Their opponents also took the football world by surprise after defeating Napoli away from home and scoring two unanswered goals. Just like Juventus, there trying to win the domestic championship as well and at least for the time being they have a narrow advantage over the runners-up. In Spain, Barcelona to can advantage of the fact that Real Madrid was eliminated by the Federation officials and is cruising to another trophy. The reigning champions defeated Athletic Bilbao on the road and will return to Barcelona for the second leg which is probably going to be nothing more than a formality. Sevilla is also virtually qualified after winning at home against the only team from a lower division that made such a deep run in the competition. Valencia was once again held to a disappointing draw, this time at home against Las Palmas and will travel to the islands knowing that it needs to score at least once. Atletico Madrid split points away from home at Celta Vigo in a highly contested game, but at least they will be playing the second leg in front of their fans. The Primera Division leaders have reputation for being the best defensive team, so they should have no problem in defending even a narrow margin leads when action resumes next week. Meanwhile, the FA cup still has a long way to go to decide the winner, but top teams are still alive in the competition and inching closer to the semifinals. Arsenal is the reigning champion and it won't have an easy mission against Burnley, while Tottenham, Manchester city and Liverpool also scrapped victories to advance. All these teams have busy schedules in 2016 as they fight worth on multiple fronts, trying to improve or consolidate their position in the Premier League and some also playing in the Champions League.

Sevilla vs Levante odds, preview and predictions

Sunday 31/01/2016, 12:00, Spain Primera Division, Round 22 Sevilla vs Levante Preview Sevilla is a force to be reckoned with when it has home pitch advantage, winning 11 games in a row, including major victories over Barcelona and Juventus. They would settle for nothing less than a convincing triumph over Levante when the two teams meet on Sunday at noon. The visitors are hard-pressed to pick up points on the road, otherwise they will relegate at the end of the season. Sevilla vs Levante Odds At Pinnacle Sports Sevilla 1.35, Draw 4.60, Levante 10.00 Sevilla vs Levante Tips Levante sits in the last place and it was unable to climb above the relegation area since the beginning of the season. Despite their abysmal performance on the road, they managed to win a handful of extremely useful points when they had home pitch advantage. They defeated both Las Palmas and Rayo Vallecano, teams that are also trying to avoid relegation, which makes them direct counter candidates.Meanwhile, they were disappointing on the road and alternated games with no goals scored, with matches in which they allowed as many as four goals. Interesting enough, in most of these encounters they managed to prevent the opponents from taking the lead early on. At the end of the day, most of the defeats were narrow margin ones, but this only matters for statistics. Sevilla started the season so poorly that nobody gave them a chance to secure a Europa league berth, but they now have even higher expectations. Villarreal is eight points ahead but anything can happen in the remaining rounds if they managed to keep winning home games. In the most recent round, Sevilla denied Atletico Madrid a chance to consolidate his position at the top of the standings by drawing on the road. The two teams splitting points and the only real loss for the visitors is that Vitolo was sent off after seeing a red card. He will be missing in this match against Levante, yet manager Emery will have no problem in replacing him. Key Facts Sevilla has won more consecutive home games than any other team in the Spanish first division, while Levante is the worst traveling team. Sevilla has just one player injured and one suspended and no players will be rested. Sevilla vs Levante Prediction Sevilla is expected to come out firing on all cylinders, because they can't afford to drop points against a mediocre team such as Levante. That's why, punters would be better off trusting the home side to cover the spread of -1.5 goals and enjoy odds of 2.10 from Pinnacle Sports. The alternative would be to bet the hosts to prevail outright, but the odds for a straight victory are simply too low to consider. Bet: Sevilla -1.5 goals @ 2.10 with Pinnacle Sports

Las Palmas vs Celta Vigo odds, preview and predictions

Sunday 31/01/2016, 19:00, Spain Primera Division, Round 22 Las Palmas vs Celta Vigo Preview Las Palmas is yet to win a game on the road, which makes it the only team in the Spanish first flight still chasing a victory away from home. In front of their fans however they been slightly better and their opponents dread the long flights to the Canary Islands. Once again they will have home pitch advantage against Celta Vigo, one of the least predictable teams in the division. Las Palmas vs Celta Vigo Odds At Unibet Las Palmas 2.55, Draw 3.30, Celta Vigo 2.70 Las Palmas vs Celta Vigo Tips Celta Vigo started the season extremely well and for a while they were tied for the lead or within striking distance from both Barcelona and Real Madrid. In 2016, they were unable to win back-to-back victories and they are slowly but surely plummeting through the standings. At the time of writing, they are still clinging to their Europa League place, but they need to improve their performance on the road. One of the things that make Celta Vigo such a difficult opponent is that they are never intimidated by top teams and play the same offensive football. On the other hand, they have dropped plenty of points against mediocre opponents and this could be a huge problem on Sunday. Celta Vigo only has Diaz unfit to play, whereas the home side has three players doubtful ahead of this fixture, including two defenders. The busy schedule is taking its toll and with Las Palmas playing in the Copa del Rey, the footballers have little time to rest. The team is still alive and kicking in the competition and just took on Valencia, so fatigue is going to be a problem. Las Palmas starts as the underdog even when it has home pitch advantage and regardless of what opponent comes to the islands. Against Celta Vigo they will use the same proven strategy of defending with all lines, until they got an opportunity to score on the counterattack. Unfortunately for them, recent games have gone out of hand and they found themselves caught in a game of scoring one more goal than the opponent. Key Facts Celta Vigo has no injured players and no reason to arrest footballers, so they will be hoping to claim all three points against Las Palmas. Home pitch advantage will mean little in this fixture, with the host playing defense and the visitors taking the initiative. Las Palmas vs Celta Vigo Prediction Celta Vigo would make for an interesting bet on the road at odds of 2.55, but punters have a safer alternative at decent odds. At Unibet you can bet on more than 2.5 goals to be scored and enjoy odds of 2.10, a tempting proposition even the defensive weakness showed by both teams in January. Bet: Over 2.5 goals @ 2.10 with Unibet

As is probably clear by the list I really enjoyed the films of a lot of the big directors: Allen, Anderson, Coen, Kubrick, Coppola (Both Sofia & Francis), Ayoade, Fincher, Scorsese. I enjoyed every film I saw from these directors. Woody Allen is my favourite writer, I find myself really relating to some of his characters in terms of their anxiety and traits. I thought every frame in Wes Anderson's films were like a well composed image.

Agitación III

| Capítulo Anterior < Indice > Capitulo Siguiente |

____________________Agitación III____________________

Alec me miró, “¿Qué piensas?”
¿Me escucharan?”
Brian suspiró, largo y fuerte, “Bueno, me tienes, supongo. Suena bien.”
Lisa se volvió hacia Alec. No había ninguna resistencia allí.
“Voy a reformular”, dije, “Pudo haber ido mejor.
Me encogí de hombros, “Los he investigado.
“No.
“¿No necesito contenerme?” Preguntó Perra, arqueando las cejas.
“Por una vez, no. Enloquece. Solo, ya sabes, no lo mates. ¿Alec?
“Me encargaré.”

[FIGHT PREVIEWS] Bermane Stiverne vs Chris Arreola, Amnat Ruenroeng vs Kazuto Ioka, Donnie Nietes vs Moises Fuentes + more

Wednesday May 7

From Bodymaker Colosseum, Osaka, Japan

Amnat Ruenroeng 12(5)-0 vs Kazuto Ioka 14(9)-0

12 rounds
IBF flyweight title
In Ioka’s first venture into the deep waters of the flyweight division, he will set his sights on the perceived weakest link. Ruenroeng upset Rocky Fuentes back in January to capture the vacant IBF title. Ruenroeng has a deep amateur career that includes a loss to Zou Shiming in his final amateur tournament that he participated in. The flyweight division (and the smaller weight classes in general) are unforgiving with age. Often times, guys get old overnight and seemingly insignificant stay busy fights could end your career. Just ask Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, longtime champion at flyweight. By the way, let’s go on a tangent. Let’s trace the lineal flyweight title.
Sonny Boy Jaro, a notorious journeyman who will knock out some prospect or champion every so often, was the one to finish Wonjongkam and take the elder wand-I mean the lineal championship. Jaro then went to Japan to face Toshiyuki Igarashi. Igarashi was a tough little prospect who’d suffered a loss early in his career, but many at the lower weight classes do. He seemed on his way. He wins a split decision over Jaro (which is shocking.) Then he defends it against Argentine Nestor Narvaes. Igarashi then defends against Akira Yaegashi. Yaegashi beats the breaks off of him in a fight of the year contender. Now, Yaegashi is the current lineal champion at flyweight. A direct decendent of the great Wonjongkam. (Seriously, if you don’t know about how great Wonjongkam is, google him. This guy was a real throwback to champions of the past.)
Okay… so uh this fight has really nothing to do with that other than Ioka and Ruenroeng fight in the same division and are fighting for a paper title. Let’s go over styles. In studying Ruenroeng, what we have with him is a very good boxer who relies on his jab (which he throws more like a power jab) and footwork to stay outside. He doesn’t pack a big punch and he doesn’t move his head as much as he should. If there’s a vulnerability or a way for Ioka to beat him, there’s 2 ways I see. One being that Ruenroeng is often open for a wide left hook. When he throws his power jab, he drops his right hand and finds himself squared up. Fuentes tagged him with it multiple times in their fight. I think combined with Ioka’s body punching, this could be his ultimate end.
As for Ioka, in my opinion, he’s coming in as the favorite. Ioka’s got a win over Yaegashi in his 10th pro fight (now it all comes together!) and improves with every fight. Here’s what’s always impressed me about Ioka and I use to gauge how ready prospects are. I look at what I call actions per minute. It’s the pace at which they fight and what they do with their time in the ring. Fighters who compete at the highest level, their rounds go by quick. Watch a Pacquiao fight. When he’s fighting a Marquez or a Bradley, the rounds fly by. Why is that? Because they are constantly working. They are feinting, they’re moving not just to move, but to position themselves, and they’re setting traps or taking mental pictures. This is why I thought Pacquiao-Marquez IV was the better fight than Rios-Alvarado I. Most of what was happening in the Rios fight was punches from everywhere. There wasn’t that high speed chess that was present in the Pacquiao fight. I love the tension it creates. Ioka has shown he can fight at that pace since he was green. Ioka’s style is tough to pin down. He’s a boxer-puncher, but he’s also prone to counter-punch. Ioka doesn’t move his head much and that’s led him into some real exciting contests over the course of his relatively short career, his chin and ring IQ have kept him in a lot of fights he might have otherwise been stopped in.

Katsunari Takayama 26(10)-6 vs Shin Ono 17(2)-5-2

12 rounds
IBF minimumweight title
Takayama is already 30 and that’s not a good sign in the minimumweight division. To stay at such a low weight as you get older is draining and takes a lot out of you. Takayama has had an up and down career, but he’s only been stopped once. Of the following opponents who’ve beat him, guess which one stopped him: Nkosinathi Joyi, Mateo Handig, Masato Hatakeyama, or Roman Gonzalez. Which do you choose? Yep, obviously it’s… wait a second. Are you sure? It’s not El Chocolatito? The, and I mean all capital letters, THE baby Golovkin? The baddest little dude on the planet? Afraid not, reader. Gonzalez easily out-pointed him, but didn’t stop him. That honor goes to Hatakeyama. It was over 10 years ago at junior flyweight. Takayama has since moved down and fared well as a minimumweight. Ono is simply a domestic defense. His 2 knockouts are impressive to Cesar Rene Cuenca, but no one else. Barring some Sonny Boy Jaro shenanigans, Takayama will retain and maybe have a unification with Naoya Inoue. (I think this is not possible because Japanese promoters have their own cold war going on.)

Friday May 9

From Gran Canaria Arena, Las Palmas, Islas Canarias, Spain

Ceferino Rodriguez 15(9)-0 v Ismael El Massoudi 39(14)-7

12 rounds
EBU-EU welterweight title
I don’t want to say that El Massoudi is better than his record states, but he kind of is. Let’s get this out the way first, because I can’t focus. His nickname is Desert Storm. Lol. He’s from Morocco so I guess it works. Anyway, why is this here? Because Ceferino Rodriguez is a 25 year old Spanish welterweight prospect promoted by none other than Sergio Martinez. I think Martinez has an eye for talent. Say what you will about Pablo Sarmiento, Sergio’s trainer, but he did a good job with Kiko Martinez and if he’s doing the same work with Rodriguez, we could have a terrific prospect coming our way in the near future.

Gabriel Campillo 22(9)-6-1 vs Ricky Dennis Pow 11(8)-2-1

10 rounds
cruiserweight division
Campillo moves up from light heavyweight after losing to Andrzej Fonfara last summer. My opinion on Campillo is that if this guy had any power, he’d be pretty special. He doesn’t and thus, he will only go as far as his cleverness takes him.
From Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, Dover, Delaware

Ray Robinson 17(7)-2 vs George Sosa 13(13)-7

10 rounds
welterweight division
First, The New Ray Robinson is rated at worst in the top 20 of welterweights in the world. Chew on that for a while. Second, I feel it’s my duty to remind you any time he fights. Which is pretty often.

Saturday May 10

From SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manilla, Philippines

Donnie Nietes 32(18)-1-4 vs Moises Fuentes 19(10)-1-1

12 rounds
WBO light flyweight title
This is a rematch of their first encounter a little over a year go. Nietes hasn’t lost in 10 years while Fuentes lost a couple of years ago to a Mexican fighter who failed to make weight. I don’t like when guys have a ton of draws on their record. It tells me that they’re okay to simply match their opponent in exchanges and not do enough to stand out. Obviously you don’t get to 32 wins by doing that every time, but those guys are alarming to me. Their last contest was as even as it gets and I expect Nietes to get the win this time.

Milan Melindo 30(12)-1 vs Martin Tecuapetla 11(8)-5-2

12 rounds
flyweight division
Melindo’s skill level is far about his opponent. He fought one hell of a fight against Juan Francisco Estrada last summer in Macau. Estrada easily won the fight, but Melindo impressed me with his heart and determination. Melindo is young and I think in a couple of fights he can capture one of the belts at flyweight. If Yaegashi doesn’t scoop them all up.
From Olympia, Liverpool, Merseyside, UK

Martin Gethin 24(11)-4-1 vs Derry Mathews 34(19)-9-2

I think this is it for dirty Derry. Win or lose, I think he’s taking his spoils and calling it a day. Dirty Derry has done a fine job putting on entertaining fights, but it seems like his career has been plagued by 1 step forward and 2 steps back syndrome.

Chris Eubank Jr 14(9)-0 vs Robert Swierzbinsky 13(3)-2

8 rounds
middleweight division
I guess Frank Warren is going to take it easy on his prospects after his last card.
From Ponds Forge Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, UK

Kid Galahad 16(8)-0 vs Fed Mundraby 15(7)-1-1

12 rounds
super bantamweight division
I haven’t made up my mind about Galahad yet.

Hughie Fury 13(8)-0 vs Danny Hughes 12(3)-2-2

unknown rounds
cheeseburger division
From Galen Center, Los Angeles, California
TV: ESPN (USA)

Bermane Stiverne 23(20)-1-1 vs Chris Arreola 36(31)-3

12 rounds
vacant WBC heavyweight title
Let’s address one thing here. This is being billed as a heavyweight title match. Let’s be clear. This should be called something like The American Heavyweight championship. Or Championship of the Americas for heavy people. Or maybe The No-Klitschko Heavyweight Division Championship. Everyone can call out Wladimir and say they want to fight him, but until otherwise proven, there isn’t a single heavyweight out there that’s on his level. One attribute doesn’t put you there. Wilder’s power, Arreola’s determination, heart, and chin, Stiverne’s jab, Pulev’s whatever he does that keeps him winning, maybe if we added all that up into one person, we’ll throw them in the mix. But that’s not the case. So essentially, this title will be the title for the rest of aren’t gifted with a shot at the real champion.
Arreola is a slight underdog here and it makes sense to me. Stiverne dropped him in their first fight and thoroughly controlled the fight with his jab and movement. Stiverne has an advantage in the quickness department, as well. The wildcard in this fight is Arreola’s new fitness. He’s in shape like never before and that could be the difference. Whether it affects his ability to throw a punch or take one. Arreola is going to need to add a new wrinkle to his game, and that is to add some feints. Arreola is really good at cutting off the ring and trapping guys in the corner, the problem with Stiverne is that he has a tight guard and when he’s shelled up, Arreola isn’t landing anything flush. A good counter to that would also be to rip some body shots when he’s in the corner. Making Stiverne weary of a body shot will open him up for some bombs to the face.
All in all, both guys are promising fireworks and you can’t ask for a better heavyweight fight for network TV. I’m excited for this fight and I expect this to be a great fight.

Amir Imam 13(12)-0 vs Yardenis Ugas 15(7)-2

8 rounds
junior welterweight division

Eric Molina 20(14)-2 vs DaVarryl Williamson 27(23)-7

10 rounds

As is probably clear by the list I really enjoyed the films of a lot of the big directors: Allen, Anderson, Coen, Kubrick, Coppola (Both Sofia & Francis), Ayoade, Fincher, Scorsese. I enjoyed every film I saw from these directors. Woody Allen is my favourite writer, I find myself really relating to some of his characters in terms of their anxiety and traits. I thought every frame in Wes Anderson's films were like a well composed image.
